In 2000, Canadian blues star Johnny V recorded an album with Latvian blues musicians, followed by a concert tour in Canada, which became the beginning of the band. Bands have appeared in many countries, including not only Europe, but also the United States and the continents of Africa and Asia.

The invitation to the Chicago Blues Festival, where the Latvian Blues Band became the first European band to play at this festival in its entire history, was particularly pleasing to the group.
