34 years ago, Lithuanian concert organizers lived in a completely different reality than they do today - for example, it was difficult to obtain currency to pay royalties, and inviting a foreign star seemed like an almost impossible mission.

However, even then, there were artists who were curious and wanted to perform in Lithuania, and they were not afraid to come to Kaunas Jazz, which was taking its first steps.

One of them is Swiss guitarist and composer Heinz Affolter, who combined jazz, folklore, funk, and Latin American music rhythms into a beautiful musical pattern. Upon arriving in Lithuania, he fell in love with this land so much that he dedicated the song "Lithuania" to our country in one of his later released albums.

Heinz, who has performed in Lithuania several times, is a well-known Swiss musician who has collaborated with Dave Weckl and other jazz superstars.
